Coloring a Colorist!

Sometimes you get an opportunity to style one of your friends who is also in the same industry! This is an amazing stylist from another salon who came to me and wanted a big change! She was a solid level five and wanted to go lighter! So we made it happen! Her hair melts my heart and I loved seeing her so happy when she left! Even though I have to admit I get so nervous working on someone who does the same thing I do every day! Another reason why I love my job...everyone needs to feel beautiful and everyone deserves to have hair that makes them feel like they can shine!

Triangle patter tease and paint with blonde me bleach starting mid crown with 30 vol switching to 40 vol half way through. Tipped out the ends in the frame and corners...tones done with redken and of course my new fav after toning was using the fanola no yellow shampoo!

This Blonde soft beach wave got quite the attention on Instagram!

Formulation:

This client is the typical root to ends two color highlight client. The last appointment I had with her I asked if she was willing to try something new...She was excited and open to a change so she gave me full reign over her hair.

I did baby lights in the crown of .11 in Majirel (highlift)
Then in her frame and tipping out her ends I used schwarzcof Blonde Me Beach
In-between each I used a Redken blur brush with 7.3 in Dia Richesse giving her a slight rooted dimension and breaking up previous hard lines from the root to ends color prior.

At the end I used my new favorite shampoo...

FANOLA NO YELLOW

Finishing her style with my amazing Bayliss Pro Curling iron!

Color Melting

I love going to work knowing I get to end my day with a special client. This is Lindsay and I have been doing her hair for a few years now. She used to have regular root to ends high lights and in the last year we have transitioned her into a balyage/ombre textured blond. It took a few sessions to get her natural base to come through and incorporate her blond softly into the look but we got there!

I do a bolder frame on her with baby lights through the crown and corners tipping out the ends on the bottom and all throughout the rest of the hair. I use Blondme lightener and shades toner!

The styling I did on her was with a Babyliss curling iron (obsessed)
