Career Goals
The Future...
I am one of those forward thinkers who just sits and dreams about what is next. I wonder what the future holds. I also set goals for what I want to see in my future.
I had set the goal of opening my own salon a year prior to the date when La Vie Salon started. It was such an amazing feeling to see that goal come to life so quick when I felt like it may never even happen. Since setting goals is so important to me and my growth as an individual/business owner/wife and most of all Mom I have set a new one.
This is what I am aiming towards my future will look like for my work life:
My Dream/GOAL is...
To work with Blogger's/Brands managing the (hair styling/looks/visions) should be for that specific brand/person. So short version is that I want to be a contracted consultant for hair specifically for a brand/blogger.
Dreams do come true...
The early bird gets the worm...
Let the fun begin!

Starting out
After owning a salon for five year's I have had many opportunities to learn and grow.
Our first location we had opened and serviced the Montrose area for four years. Our building sold at the end of year four and I was faced with the idea of staying and dealing with some horrible new landlords (my lease was going to change drastically as well and not in my financial benefit) or, considering moving and expanding in space.
Naturally I wanted to stay not only in our location but in the town of Montrose for fear of losing business and just overall location change is scary for any business when it depends on it's community for support. So I took a leap and relocated to La Crescenta, into a bigger and better space. We are now in a location that I envisioned my business being when I first decided it was time to open my own space. I have started from scratch and built from the ground up two salons in five years.
Here are some pictures of the first salon

This was the shot I took as I was leaving the last night we were in the Montrose location.
Here are some pictures of the process of the new salon...

and after all the construction
We have seven stations and an amazing team I am so thankful I get to work with every day. I can't wait to see what the future holds for the salon and all of those who are apart of our amazing team.

2017 and all it brings
I was sixteen when I started in the beauty industry. I was working as an assistant and from there I became a Booth Renter. Moving forward in my 12 years of experience in the industry I went on to open my own business about five years ago and I have gained an amazing team of stylists. There has been such amazing growth within my team and we have had so much fun growing together.
This is the La Vie Salon team at our holiday party this year! I am so thankful for all of these women and all that they have to offer as friends and coworkers. We truly are an amazing team because we work together helping each other in any way we possibly can.
so here are the looks I have come up with for cuts and color!!!
I love what I do and I am always trying to grow in different ways. Not only as an owner of a salon, or a stylist but now I am opening up a new door for myself within my business.
Consulting!
This has been a passion of mine for years now, and I am finally at a point where it is naturally evolving into something in my every day work life. I recently have been working with a blogger and have created a look sheet for her for the new year for a fresh new look for her.
It has been so fun to work with her and helping how she brands herself visually with her hair.

When creating a look sheet for a client it is so important to consider the following:
-first impression
-hair texture
-color tones (on camera)
-realistic cuts for styling
-what they are representing or trying to sell
-direction is best for there look overall
Bringing on 2017
Moving forward my goals for consulting are:
To work with bloggers/fashion lines
-teaching branding (hair)
-education on running a business and forecasting your future.
-To work with people for style looks for fashion trends...
If anyone knows of someone/company that would benefit from these services please pass my information on or have them contact me directly thank you so much!
